EKO!!!

Day-3-Lagos-protest

Eko!!!

The land where many flee to

Many night’s dreams spent

Loads of plans made

A lot of hopes built

The light at the end of the tunnel for millions

The dreamland

Where many think they can not live without

Where the magic for many aspirations will take place

I have been there

Lived there

The Greenland of fulfillment

Of excellence

Of that excellence it has been crowned for

Eko!

The land that never sleeps

The land of toils

Jumping, a regular exercise

Noise, a regular soundtrack

Flood, an environmental friend

Stress, a must-have

Crime, the oxygen in the air

Worries, a crease on every face

Wrinkles, a tribal mark

The drudgery

On and on it goes

All year round

Not a guarantee of steady flow of OWO

Just how does survival happen here?

The solace that permeates peace is chased away

Environment polluted

Minds on a constant rat-race

Pressure on the rise

Pweh! Are we not always tired?

Eko!

When will the drudgery stop?

When will the stress pay more?

When will the people wake after dawn and be early?

When will people live without fear?

Of flood

Of thieves

Of fraudsters

When will they be free?

Free to truly relax

Truly enjoy happiness

True human living

Eko!

    Lol – Stress, a must-have
After a day of being stuck in traffic under this wicked sun, I’m really feeling this.
